Myfeckin's old machine..

Postby TopCat » Mon Dec 09, 2013 11:15 am

Ok, not an FTO, but I think I spotted his old Zed in Galway yesterday. The first one, reg something like 4447?

Sporting a new set of rims now, but same kit on the front at least. Didn't get to see it right, but looks tidy enough still.

Oh it could be. My memory is a bit hazy now, but I thought something looked slightly different, and I had put it down to the rims at the time.

Not tempted to go back to something a little less family orientated any time soon?

Yeah, that's it, and those are the alloys I saw in it. I thought you had different alloys on it Shane?

I think it's owned by a gentlemen I used to work with, he posted several pictures of it to his Facebook recently. I can't understand the text which follows, it's Hungarian I believe.

Could have swore it had the old set of GTR Rotas on it when I saw it a couple of weeks back - same colour rims and the Zed was moving so could have been mistaken.

Not going back to a Zed anytime soon - it would be very hard to top the last 420bhp SC Zed (which is now 650bhp on a built engine).
Company cars (diesel) and 7 seaters is where its at for me - for the moment at least.

Having said that Ross (Mustang) gave me a spin in his Zed a few weeks back and it's tempting to have a yoke like that in the shed - if only the road tax was reasonable enough to let it sit in the shed.

Look what I just found on Donedeal

I presume the Hungarian to english translation to your colleges post was " Car for sale, Lady owner" :)

Some amount of performance metal for the money - that was a really nice Zed - I orig brought it into Ireland for 24K + 10K VRT and spent more than the current asking price on the kit and a set of rims. Still looks pretty clean - the fact that CF front splitter hasn't worn away by now is a good sign.

LOL'd at "6950 with the wheels - 6600 without { bring your own)"
