This is the email I got from my brokers about a quote for a GS from Eagle Star
Hi Dean,

Eagle Star have contacted us and advised that they do not quote for the model of vehicle you are purchasing - it is rated higher than the 2.0cc due to the particular model of FTO.

We do not have any other market for this type of vehicle other than your existing Insurers.

We regret any inconvenience caused.

Apparently Eagle Star rate a GS higher than a GPR. There is only an 80BHP difference. Hehe

My brokers are working on this.

Hehe, still got insured though. - Just not through Eagle Star. Whew.

Dont know their cars.

My car insured through Eagle Star, through my fiance on a Lady Star Policy.

But she had to meet certain conditions before they'd insure her on it.

5 years no claims, no outstanding claims, over 30, female.

I think they specialise in female drivers just like Quinn Direct seem to specialise in young male drivers.

Hehe, fair enough, my point was though that they will insure me in a GPR v6 MIVEC, but they wouldnt quote me for a GS 1.8 4 cylinder.
