[FTO MEET] Kenmare Tunnel Run [12th May 2007]

Postby Myfeckin FTO » Wed Apr 18, 2007 2:02 pm

Any takers for the Kenmare tunnel run on the Saturday evening of May 12th. Those of you who have done it before will know its well worth visiting - great backdrop scenery for photos. Accomodation available at €30 B&B in the vicinity for the Saturday night.

So far thats 2 350Z's, a Rex, a Paj Evo and 3 FTO's - should make for quite a racket. Anyone else want to build on the FTO content?

Grand Rusty - just let me know when you can - I've booked two apartments and a Pub/B&B out from Kenmare but there will be quite a few around as I'll be down there Friday,Saturday and Sunday Paintballing and Diving with a few mates and accomadation might get tight as we get closer.

Topic split messed up - originally posted by MfFTO

If anyone wants to make a weekend of this one the schedule is as follows:

Saturday 12th - 1030 - Tralee - Predator paintball
http://www.predatorpaintballireland.com/index.html

1600 - leave Tralee for B&B in Kenmare
1700 - Arrive in B&B - drop the bags - and head towards the Tunnel
1800 - to whenever we get sick of tunnels

Back to Kenmare for a night not to be forgotten but one which you'll probably not remember (Just ask CJ & Dave).

Sunday morning - Free to talk crap about FTO's over a greasy fry-up and loads of black coffee and maybe head out the peninsula for a few photo ops.

If you don't want to paintball we can meet up in Kenmare on way back from Tralee.

See here for last Kenmare photos - http://www.fto-ireland.com/meets/Kerry_120605/

Those pesky gypses just don't take no for an answer - "Me windscreen is grand bud ! "

2 Zeds, a Rex, a Paj Evo and 3 FTO's - thats quite a convoy!

Paintball booked for 1030 in Tralee on Sunday morning - we'll be joining another group of lads that I know fairly well. 15 in total. Onwards to tunnel after that and meal and drinks in Kenmare on Saturday night.

Accomadation booked - €35 for ensuite inc breakfast. €44 for the paintball though you should probably allow an extra €50 if you're partciularly trigger happy! The culture and scenery is free of charge (unless you actually hit the scenery  ).

CJ and Muad travelling down from Dublin on Friday early afternoon.
Daves coming down from that direction on Saturday.

Will be quite a weekend.

I think its fair to say there won't be many ladies this time round - most of us are leaving the FTO widows club behind for the weekend but don't let that stop you from bringing your fair lady - I'll be bringing my fairlady

Looking forward to the weekend, I'll be leaving reasonably early on the Sunday, I have to meet a guy in Bantry who's gonna take a look at the map on the RX-7.

Rule no 1: No shandy on the table! :)

Just back from the Tunnel meet. Absolutely STUNNING area.

Had a blast.

The drive to and from wasn't even that bad - approx 5hours each way. (about half a tank of petrol).

The place we stayed was awe-inspireingly great.
