Exhaust Systems

Postby stillj20 » Tue May 24, 2011 8:23 pm

Hi all,
I was wondering what the best way to improve the exhaust sound in my fto. I have a standard FTO exhaust on my GPX and it sounds ok but lookin for sumtin with a bit more presence about it. Do i need to completely change the whole exhaust system (if i had the money i definitely would) or would simply changin the back box have the desired effect.
Many Thanks,
James

Try an ITG filter, and then a decat pipe, thats makes a massive difference. More of a throaty rasp of it. You could put in blueflame quads, or another type of exhaust if you wanted to really make a difference to the sound after that.

theres definitely a difference alrite.ITG it is then. was thinkin bout replacin the intake pipe with a stainless steel one with a bigger diameter, seen a few with the ARC intake chambers, think their gone out of business though.

Deffo one of the best setups out there for the FTO , even if it looks odd. Glad you are happy with that mate.
