2nd car policy

Is anybody aware of any Irish companies doing the whole "multi car" thing?

soon I'll need cover in both the Vectra and the FTO.. Dont really mind heavy excess or milage restrictions. I just need to be sure that there a degree of coverage if one gets nicked or somebody drives into me..

and of course if I get pulled over it's handy enough to be legal..

I insured with Setanta this year, apparently they will let you use your NCB on a second car.
They also proved the most competitive at the time for me and a few others here but things might have changed...

Have a read here.

Did you ever manage to get this sorted? I've been looking to do the same, have a car that I need for towing horseboxes and the like, garaged the fto at the time and switched over the insurance to the new motor, now looking to get the fto back on the road just for the odd spin here and there. Seems to be a complete no go, have 8 years ncd, but not able to use this on a second policy, so the quotes I'm getting are ridiculous. Tried going down the classic route too, as I've heard some places offer classic insurance on cars 15 years and over, but not having much luck. Looks like I'll either have to flog the fto or keep it garaged for another 5 years until it's considered for classic insurance. Doesn't make a bit of sense to me, I mean, I'm willing to put a big excess on the policy and a mileage restriction, and it's not like I can drive 2 cars at the one time... out of ideas now at this stage.. anyone have any suggestions?

sorry saint.. haven't done a tap about it.. just have too many things on my plate on the moment..

I wouldn't even have the time to actually drive the fto these days... let alone give it an nct, tax and insurance..for now it's a very costly cat shelter..
