6 hours of cleaning.... and the results...

Postby adrian » Tue Jun 12, 2007 12:21 pm

Hi all,

Just to share with my fellow petrol heads....I spent over 6 hours on Saturday and Sunday with the motor... cleaning inside and out. Saturday I washed it twice, then on Sunday I did tar remover, polised it twice, carnubra wax, tyre shine, Glass Cleaner inside and out, full valet and carpet shampoo, leather conditioner etc...

I uploaded a few (well, alot actually) images of the finished product to:

http://www.photobox.ie/album/5498241?c_album=5498241&page=all

Sore all over still, but worth it I think.

That site I used reduced the resolution of the pics....

If you look here you'll get the full effect of how the paintwork came up:

Looks good. Your neighbours must think that you're a real saddo 8)

Are you still running UK plates or have you developed the Northern accent to get you away not re-registering, same as the 1000s of others down South ?

Why do people blank out their plates when posting car pics on the internet. There is no way to locate the car by knowing the Reg, unless one is a corrupt Garda or Motor Tax office worker ?

For exactly this reason - well sort of anyway. The guys stealing to order have enough contacts to find out this information - I've a mate who's a garda so that's coming from the horses mouth so to speak......

yeah, there none of them around... Sorry had to say it. The press got all their info from their "garda contacts" before the information is officially released. I'm sure one could find thisinfo from multiple places. including corrupt NCT workers. And by god there bound to be a few of them LOL :D

I've had the reg checked for a few cars I was considering buying - checking the address the seller gave, etc. Even found one where the sellers details didn't match the car's registered address - turned out the car ownership was never transferred when last sold and tax was never paid........ garda got an easy cop with that one :?
