:)

I didnt expect this car will be so entertaining

Right all together now!

Ive different flywheel, ive fitted in another gearbox (so far this car had 5 speed tip, 5 speed 1.6 LSD box ive broke this one while driving, 5 speed 1.6 non LSD box 0
now another 5 speed 1.6 gearbox on it with no LSD

Different drive shafts
New engine filter and oil
New gearbox oil
New power steering fluid
Stainless steel down pipes
different lambda sensor
different cat than it was originally on it
re adjusted the tappets
both cam trays re sealed
proper coolant back in
stock 60mm throttle body (63mm back on as soon as ive emissions passed as i dont know how the larger tb affect it if it does at all)
Different stepper motor

NCT later on today, wish me luck lads!

I cant wait to see whats the weight of the car now with the manual gearbox conversion,as the last time the car seen its NCT test it was an auto FTO, if the tester remember it he might be bit surprised (there's only one as such yoke in Longford so he might have remember it :))

1308kg before

1176kg now

:ll :ll :ll

Failed the test and need to retest it in line, pity but one headlight bulb stop working on the way to the NCT
Pity that's xenon lights as i could get the replacement anywhere on the way down there.

Booked the retest for the next week.

What do you have in store for her Seb? Just tidying up, or working on some engine conversion?

How much weight are you hoping to save? And what's it like in the power department in comparison to 6A12?

Im hoping to get as close to 1 tone as possible!

Power wise it will never come any close to 6A12 even non mivec but it will be in the region of 1.8 FTO but lighter at first stage with distributor cap ignition type.

Stage 2 with decompression head gasket boosting 1bar and coilpack conversion (which will aloud me to alter the timing as well) im hoping for about 150hp (ive read topic where lad said he got round 180 but i would be skeptical about that)

Should be fun indeed :)
