Idle Motor

Hi all,

My idle revs are all over the place automatically revving anywhere from 1200 to 2500 revs. Paul in Artane reckons I need a new idle motor. Priced in the Jap import parts place in Ashbourne at EUR 280 new or EUR 180 second hand ?

Anyone else have experience with this problem ?

Dave, have you tried cleaning the stepper motor? If not, check out http://www.funky-fto.co.uk/idling.html for info. Failing that, you should be able to get a replacement motor from either Japco, UpAuto or Kempys in NZ much cheaper, see the Parts page for contact details.
