My water pump failed and the car overheated

Postby Faarooq » Wed Jul 25, 2012 5:26 pm

My water pump failed and as a result the car overheated.

After adding water, she starts and sounds fine idling but I am scared to rev her too hard. Does she still have life?

Sounds like you may have gotten lucky. Order a new pump from camskill, or ebay and happy driving.

 Oh God....., Not to mind revving it up, don't start it again until you've replaced the water pump. I'm pretty sure the timing belt drives the water pump in the FTO, and you don't want to create a problem with that!!
