House insurance

For those of you with mortgages and home insurance, a gentle reminder not to let your polices auto roll-over without first checking the details, the rebuild value of your home should be a lot less than a few years back. Use this link to determine the cost and check your policy accordingly. My advise is to add 10-15% onto the value to cater for extras such as higher spec kitchens etc. Also take a close look at your contents insurance - do you really have 70 grands worth of stuff in your gaff that would need replacing if the worst happened? http://www.insure.ie and http://www.123.ie usually offer good deals if you want to compare costs. I saved 25% by reducing the values in accordance with current market values
