Something bugging me - why do some people blank out their license plates when posting pictures of their cars online ?

What harm is it that someone knows that 09D121643 is a Silver Audi A5 ?

Paranoid is right. I wonder do the same people hide their number plates while driving around the streets.

Must go out and cover up my 95-D-XXXXX FTO before I fall victim !!

I've been known to do it on the M50, but for different reasons

and that was a few years back
