Alarms, Immobilisers

Can anyone point me in the direction of a seriously good alarm and immobilizer system please? Grace is upgrading hers as someone tried to get into her car 2 nights ago, we went out to it yesterday and the 2 locks are screwed, cant be used with the key anymore. The surround for the key is loose on one side and they have scratched the doors by trying to get in. Good thing is the door didnt budge an inch, not out of alignment or anything thankfully. But what we're looking at is something that will run off its own battery pack, something that chirps when someone gets too close or stands within the promixity too long, in other words a really good system that no-one can even touch a car or rub against it, like you see on some bmws or mercs.

Clifford look like a good bet, loads of options with them.

Thats what I was thinking, but not sure if they do the type she wants, I presume they do and its just that its an extra on some standard package or something. Remembered that Clifford would be one of the ones that would get the most mentions on the forum.

I had a Clifford in the RX-7, it was an excellent system but I paid over a grand for the privilege. With the Blackjax system, the car won't get very far if its its stolen and the proximity sensor is useful (if sometimes annoying). I also had a Clifford turbo timer option installed, not necessary in your case.

Had a G5 Clifford with blackjax and remote start on the blue one. definitely worth a look, even if they rob the keys they won't get far.

Nice one lads, thanks for the info. I imagine the proximity sensor would get annoying, but for peace of mind I'd prefer it, especially if it would mean no scumbag would touch your car and get their dirty hands all over it.

IIRC you can disable it via the key pad. I had the G5 concept 650, its a very configurable alarm system, manual here.

cheers cj for that manual. i got a clifford, sensors the whole lot, that will come in usful, only last month i realised i could turn the main headlights on with the remote lol
