Flooding

Was anyone on the site impacted by the recent spate of flooding?

On a related note, hows Kinvarra and surrounding area?

I'm on call with Search & Rescue - a lot of flooding here in Clare and Limerick. Went through a rather flooded stretch of road yesterday half way up the door of the RRS. The traffic behind me did quick U turns after watching me go through.

Bought it back recently - after I sold the missus' Alfa I went looking for another 4X4 and tbh there wasn't much better out there for the money - Dave sold on the RRS as he had something else in mind (I'll let Dave explain his plans). The RRS is in good nick so I wasn't slow about getting it back as a second car. Plan on holding onto it now for a while. With the way the current weather has been the Zed has had the last few weeks tucked away in my mechanics shed - it'd be undriveable in this weather - plus its getting a largish service + a 2 way Kazz diff and awaiting a kit (Amuse front bumper,CF roof, CF rear diffuser + CF splitter + other misc bits).

Back to the weather - The Shannon and Lough Derg has risen to record heights and has caused unbelievable damage to the lake, Marinas, jettys and surrounding lands well beyond the floodplains. On my way to Shannon from home yesterday - my normal route was closed - then they closed the diverted route and the route I eventually went by also had significant flooding and in particular a piece of road that was only passable by 4x4.

Heres some photos from around my way - (care of Clare FM) - http://www.clare.fm/flood
