Berno et al,
What's the thoughts for Saturday I'll be in Portlaoise for the weekend anyway -happy to go for dinner and pints.
Remember it's a bank holiday weekend so accommodation bookings would need to be sorted.

As regards activity could potentially drive some of the gordon bennett route http://www.gordonbennettroute.com/
Or perhaps up into the slieve blooms. Or indoor perhaps bowling http://www.laoistourism.ie/what-to-do/bowling.html
Some other stuff here http://www.laoistourism.ie/what-to-do/adventure.html

I'd be totally up for some paint ball. Only problem is we will all be smelly feckers after running around the place for a couple of hours, shooting eachother. Are we doing accommodation, or what's the craic there? Would be a good idea to be able to have a few beers and crash in the hotel after. You won't get me on a camel though

I thought the October meet was just a meet and greet, as in an event that will last only a few hours, shouldn't the sleep over "big event" thing wait until the 10 year anniversary?

Maybe a split day? Some can do the meet/greet and whoever wants can progress onto massive boozing session. It'll probably end up being me, alone, at the bar, getting drunk, in the wrong hotel after taking a wrong turn. Good ole reliable sat nav.

I'll be only coming up for a chat and coffee. If the car survive the track day, haven't enough money to do everything.

It's starting to look a bit dodgy for me, will be in Dublin but probably have a van instead of FTO, trying to figure it out, only about 10% chance at this stage even to show up with the van....

I'll only be around for a few hours anyway. Got a birthday/halloween party to get to that night.

Guys - I'm now screwed on this one as well. I was informed yesterday of a confirmed stag event that I now have to attend in Clare on the 27th :( Myself and the young lad were really looking forward to it too.
Unless we're 100% firm on date I'm out of this one too I'm afraid...

Would love to but the stag involves a 5 hour activity (ouch !) in Clare from early morning on Sat, with overnight later in Kinvara. You know the deal...

Dropping like flies. There'll have to be a minimum number, otherwise it'll be a glorified minimeet

I'm more 'glass half full' when it comes to these things - based on my experience over the years, you tend to get people dropping out of meets closer the date. Despite best efforts, peoples plans change all he time and life gets in the way! Don't get too caught up on the number of attendees and enjoy the day for what it is.

I'll enjoy it anyway. It being my first meet, i'd love to have more than 3 fto's at it though. I would hope that the 10th birthday next year yields a much bigger showing. 20 plus fto's shouldn't be unrealistic if its all planned properly.

Saturday is my busiest and most profitable day....it's bascally where my income is generated, as the other days are what I call bill days....but i plan to attend this meet on the 27th and enjoy it for what it is; my first fto meet.

Thanks Stewy,
Here it is on Google maps: http://maps.google.com/maps?saddr=Tootenhill,+Co.+Dublin,+Ireland&daddr=Unknown+road&hl=en&sll=53.278581,-6.488108&sspn=0.002829,0.007687&geocode=FYr_LAMd7gCd_ynfsJA-onZnSDF_vhvz3aZNHg%3BFZL3LAMdoP-c_w&t=h&mra=mift&mrsp=1&sz=18&z=18

Who will be at Applegreen,
Myself, Goz, Wagalini and Seb, anyone else?
We should pick a time to meet there, maybe we could wait for a bit if we know who will be there.
