Nissan 370z 2009

Postby mcgon1979 » Fri Oct 31, 2008 1:14 pm

Nissan offers the first look at the upcoming 2009 370Z Coupe, which makes its world debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show on 19 November. The all-new 2009 Nissan 370Z, the first full redesign of the iconic Nissan Z since its reintroduction as a 2003 model, solidifies the strengths of its predecessor with an unmatched balance of performance, style and value. The all-new Z will go on sale at Nissan dealers in early 2009.

It is going back toward the 240z, but not as much as I thought, certainly more of an update of the 350. Not convinced I'm that gone on the back, would need to see more pics, but man I still want one! :)

Shorter, wider, slightly lighter and more powerful (330bhp+) than the 350Z plus the more retro styling and improved interior all plus points.
The styling cues seem to come from both the 240Z and the new GTR.

Not really gone on those rims (easily fixed) or the front bumper and front lights (not so easily fixed).

Expect a price of 75K + here in Ireland though - Think I'll be waiting a couple of years before I buy one of those then! In the meantime theres plenty of great value 350Z's floating about.

Strikes me as more of a Porsche than anything else.

You took the words right out of mouth, theres definetly some fat Porsche stylin' going on in the backend. While I like the idea of stylised lights up front, I think it detracts somewhat from the frontend - if its not broken, don't fix it....

I don't like it.... :(

I don't like the front lights, the rear lights, I'm not terribly happy with the new side profile and it looks like the nose is pointing upwards... the only thing that would get me is the increased power and the interior does look spanky but that's it

Can't see myself going anywhere near this thanks to Mr Depreciation on my current 07 Z. Interior isn't hugely different as the 07 Z had a bit of an interior facelift... thank god as my last one had more plastic than... well something plastic!

I always find with new models that you have to see them face to face ... moving on the road to get a better look as pictures don't look the best!

I wonder is the whole car lighter or heavier as the increased displacement / electronics etc of the G37 engine way a few extra pounds and wonder will it be as significant a jump as we should really expect these days seeing first hand the new M3 E90 over the E46.

I'm still quite sensitive as you can see over losing a good chunk of cash on my current Z which pushed me back a good while on buying something with a horse on the logo!

If its of any consulation to you - the horsey logo will also have taken a hammering on depreciation in the present market.

The car market (particularly the performance car market) has taken a nose dive over the past 12 months so while your performance car will be worth less theres also a LOT of value out there for your next purchase.

It looks like if I'm going to have any change of selling the Zed that I'll need to come down a couple of K - seems nuts and I'll have taken a hammering on depreciation over the past year but at least there'll be plenty of options on my next buy. The phrase "cash is king" has never been more relevant to the car market in Ireland at the moment.

Seen it and its absolutely horrible! - Rear bumper and spoiler is a copycat mess.

Present Nismo kit is miles better.

I dunno - it might'nt be better looking than a present Zed but its slightly more powerful, lighter and with a better interior - and all for the price of three '03 350Z's....

Oh wait .......I think I see where the problem is

- add a supercharger ala Dave and this becomes a no brainer!

You'd be nuts to spend 75K+ on a 370Z while theres good condition 350Z's now starting at 20K.
