Got My Car Back!!!

Postby power » Mon Apr 11, 2011 1:57 pm

Well It's been in the garage since October with Paul Nolan, and I finally have it back up and running!
Paul was convinced it needed a new ecu but after noticing one or two of the wires running into it had pulled away,
he fixed it up and it's going perfect again!! :D
Thanks to all who helped me from the site, including Gerry an Steelroe!!
I also have a new blueflame quad exhaust fitted, will try get a few pics up later

Unfortunately I don't know how much longer I can keep it for as my girlfriend is 4months pregnant, and I don't think the fto boot is
buggy compatible!! She also reckons the poor baby will be deaf by it's first birthday with the new quad exhaust

:ll Congrats on getting your car back. It was in there for AGES.
your girlfriend might have a point about the quads. They are loud, but I know which one I'd choose if it came down to it..... My FTO  . Oh congratulations on the baby as well

The Fto boot fits a large buggy and 2 medium boxes of shopping! and the carseat fits in the back too. also you can get baby ear muffs.. that would surely help!

I have a 6 month old and havnt had a single problem with having the fto+baby at the same time.. any annoyances are worth it! :D

Cheers lads, I'd imagine the fto could be made baby compatible alright, but it's just the added cost of keeping it too!
My premium is €2050 with full license and 6yrs NCB
Then there's the price of petrol and road tax too!

I would be sad to see her go, and reckon I'm probably going to get robbed on any trade in :(

thats expensive insurance.

I was getting quotes of €870 on a GPX 2L Mivec with Quinn and thats with 3 yrs NCB. I'd check that out

+1

I have been running with 2 baby / child seats for several years now. Even a Bugaboo probably still fits in the boot.
