Rear Knocking Noise

Postby steelroe » Sun Mar 02, 2003 10:33 pm

Had a loud knocking noise in the rear passenger side for ages (not anti-roll links). On investigation I remove all rear passenger side suspension and links. Finally found bushing on camber adjustment to be worn. Would never have found this if I had not removed everything. Replaced with Mitsi bushing. Decided to replace all rear and front suspension bushings (total cost 200 euro). Part numbers to follow. No longer banging.

I have a similar problem at the moment, I assumed it was worn droplinks so I have a set on order. - Ciaran

The reason I know it wasn't the anti rolls is I had to replace them last year. Did you order these from Mitsi or Camskill. May be the anti rolls on your car. Knocing from camber bush can be very loud when hitting rough road.

AFAIK, the rear ARB bushed were replaced last year so I reckon its the droplinks, at least I hope it is. I can't see myself going to the trouble you did as regards ripping out your rear suspension!
