That has been up for sale for over 6 months.
I remember seeing it a few times in finglas when i was working up there.
The body looks ok but there is something i can't put my finger on. Maybe its just the car is filthy inside.

and the alloys are :smt078

worth a ring for a little more info than what the add has

Check it out is th best option. At 800 it cant be perfect but at the age these cars are getting to its hard to find many that are. Most of them will need a bit of work.
If you dont know anyone with much mechanical knowledge you can alwas throw a mechanic 50 to check it out.

Personally id go for the gx. Its a manual, yes youl b down on power by 30bhp but the manual box will make it feel better. Test drive both them.

I think the GX is 180 BHP, so its only a loss of 20 BHP. The GR is 170. I love the mivec and I too believe that a sunroof is a BIG bonus, but Dan, that GX looks pretty sweet I have to say. My advice: Go see the mivec and promise yourself not to buy it until you see the GX. The mivec looks like the owner couldn't even bother his ar$e to give it a whack of a sponge and some water. That may tell you lots about its time with that owner. The GX also has the facelift bumper, which, in my opinion, is a must. Keep in mind that the mivec on offer is an automatic, and the GX is manual, so the difference in power will be negligible unless you plan on hitting the 5.5k rpm every time you put your foot down.

You could get a sun roof installed at some stage if you really wanted one. It makes the car feel more spacious and airy.

My car has a sunroof and to be honest it's the only thing I'd change about the car.
The models without the sunroof have a groove along the roof that mirrors the lines of the bonnet.

I think it looks great but it would make installing a sunroof at the very least a pig of a job, that's if it could be done at all.

Gotta second that, the sunroof would ruin the cars natural lines IMO.

Its really a very simple job. Take an angle grinder to fto with and fto without sun roof. drink plenty booze before going about this crazy job as a back up if you happen to mess it up. Some elbow grease, hammer & nails and selotape will have your fto looking like the mivec you were looking at in that link.

In my experience that happens when someone goes out and buys a car without checking it enough, a few weeks later it starts making strange noises so they bring t to a garage and find out it needs x and y and z replaced totaling a couple grand. So they try sell it but becaus they were dupped into buying a junker they think they can do it to someone else but be more savy and maybe even make a lil bit of profit.
Just my experience with buying and selling cars in the past and seeing this kinda thing crop up a few times.

Defo. He maybe saw a bargain and trying to sell at a profit. Seen it with an mg zs 04 selling on ebay few months ago. Sold for 1k with no nct, but no mechanical problems and i good condition. Good price. Was gonna buy it myself but the wife wasn't happy about the no nct, so I opted out despite knowing the car was warth at least twice that much. 2 days later it was up for sale for €1700 on done deal and didnt last long. Snapped up.

This FTO seems to have been up for sale quite a few times now - I'd be interested to know how many owners its had.
Also if you look at the picture showing the speedo/rev counter you can see from the screws (and lack of) that this consols been out quite a few times. All I'm saying its that it clearly wasn't taken out to get aftermarket dials etc put in - make up your own minds.

Not saying to discount viewing the car - it may very well be a clean FTO - just thread carefully.
IMO its probably a little overpriced - 1600 - 1800 Euro would be closer in value if its in good nick.

AFAIK this FTO was once owned by "Mike-Kerry" on here - so there may be some history on this forum.
