TBH I'm loking for something 4WD for towing, a commercial Legnum would be great instead of the FTO, the fuel consumption would be unreal though.

Insurance costs exactly the same with Quinn as the FTO. and I'll bet more companies cover Galants then FTOs?

You will do a lot of driving for the €700 you would save if it was taxed commercial.

Why go down the road of an FTO shell when a complete FTO with all its ancillarys can be got for very little these days?
If I didn't have the supercharged Zed I'd def be interested in a VR4 engined FTO. For 10K you'd have a very quick, good looking and relatively unique coupe that'd be worth holding onto.

Another option would be, I could remove all the gear from the Legnum need for the conversion. Fit it to a perfect rolling shell (undamaged). And sell it as a part conversion if anyone is interested.
LSD could also be included in the package for the conversion viewtopic.php?f=4&t=8480.

Manual box would be required. After that braking suspension etc would have to be sourced. Tha options are there for anyone interested.

What's wrong with this that makes it only good for parts or conversion?

Absolutely nothing at all. I've seen this car a couple of times from going down to Rory's and its a shame its not on the road yet! Can't believe its still there to be honest that no-one has snapped it up!

Full service last weekend.

Engine Oil and Filter
ATF Oil and Filter
6 x Spark plugs
New rocker coever gaskets and plug seals. (Note: Same rocker cover gasket and seals as a GR/GX)
Air filter.
Brakes perfect.
Gearbox smooth as a button.
Battery fitted.

Starts and runs first time every time.

All it needs is 2 x tie rods and repair the exhaust. I have the tie rods just no time to fit.
Passed MOT before I imported it. VRT 700

€1500 need it gone now. No offers please as it is the bargain of the year as it is. Just sick of looking at it go to waste, needs a good home.
Serviced as above all it need is tie rods fitted (which I have), tracked after they are installed and repair hole in exhaust.

FTO box will fit straight on. Mounts also line up. GR loom needed as it is almost identical to vr4 one.

Rory does the Leg have NCT? Plus on a diff note any Fto manual gearboxes around? The sync mesh is gone in my reverse, or so ive been told. If its NCTD for a while i might take it off you.
