Postby Chris_Heilong » Tue Mar 06, 2012 1:19 am

Maybe this has been posted before but it is hard to search for such a thing on the forum, anyway just really liked seeing the FTO doing so well against these other sports cars, gotta love the Japanese http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iTiXnCFT9cY

Good find.
Take it the supra is N/A one and not TT?

The fto certainly held it's ground against the m3 for a good chunk.
Would love to get all the cars back for a race now, those exact cars used 14 or 15 years ago, would be interesting to see how each one faired out over the years of daily abuse.
No doubt the m3 would stop halfway to replace the radiator :D

And the supra turbo would be fooked, the MR2s gearbox would fall out, levins engine would blow and the FTO wouldn't idle properly due to the stepper motor... :D

Most def an NA Supra - TT Supra is a different class entirely. Still a good contemporary performance by the FTO.

Yeah, all the cars were N/A, dont really like turbos myself, would love to see more of these kind of videos but there are mostly just drag races and the FTO just doesn't have the initial acceleration needed most of the time.

It was a logical business decision - the majority of Japanese drivers prefer automatic transmissions, to release the FTO in manual only form would have meant significantly lower sales for Mitsubishi, plain and simple.
