Seat nut torque

Anybody know what the story with this is?



What is the torque supposed to be? I find it hard to believe it's 2.9 N-m. I currently have them at 10N-m and they still feel loose.

Question answered. It's a typo. This is from the CA4A manual. According to ASA the same part numbers are used for the nuts.

Not sure I understand what you mean. I wasn't going to tighten to 2.9 N-m. It was clear to me it's a typo. Just wanted to know what the actual value should be. So I used ASA to see what other models use the same bolt (same strength, nominal diameter, pitch, etc.) and found another service manual which had the correct value.

Are you saying I should have just tightened by hand?

check the torque for the likes of this id get nothing done.

I understand what you mean now. I only 'go by the book' when it comes to mission-critical components such as brakes, airbags, seat-belt anchors etc. . It'd be a huge waste of time to torque every single bolt.

I didn't mean to be pedantic. I always appreciate advice from experienced members.
