its not fitted yet need to take the old battery brakets off to fit the filter in should be done at the end of the month havent got lots of time this month will let you no when its done

Very nicely done! I've something fairly similar on the Zed - a CAI is well worth doing over the standard induction mods.

Very nice job indeed - would love to do something similar but there aren't really any good spots to put a hole in a pre-facelift fto front bumper.

I'd be worried aboud water getting into a sealed unit, is it a concern?

I'm with Bernard on this, I found this out the hard way 6 or 7 years ago driving through what seemed like a small enough puddle (luckily the head gasket was on the way out and I didn't end up completely wrecking the engine)

Colm I guess the trick is not to fit it so low that you'll suck in the water..

A system like on a proper 4x4 might work best in ireland.. you know the chimney stack looking things...Schnorkel

mine was to the left of the front fog light! there was no drain off for water like a standard airbox has,

theres a small drian hole in the cone for water to run out from the inlet :



i could put a 1 way vavel in the loest point of the samco hose in the other pic

but it is where my fog light is so it is high ish up and i dont have many fords round me or big pudels that apear when it rains
