Do NOT go with the cheapest quote. For a lip it needs to be done perfect with the right technique i.e fibre glassing the lip into the bumper from and inch or so down the lip. Some people will just put it on and polyfill it, but if you get even a small bump it will show stress lines across the bit that was polyfilled. This is the advantage with fibre glassing it in place.

If you want do take the chance and do it cheap I know a fella in Blanchardstown in Dublin 15 that will do it for €110.
If you and to do it properly it's going to cost 200-350. I'm doing the same at the moment  .

I'm using I guy down near me in east cork I know. He lives in the sticks of nowhere but runs a 24hour recovery service and repair garage specialising in body work. A good bit outta your way but if you can't get anyone else he should be able to do it match ip the paint work I imagine. I dropped my car into him last night so should have it back before the week is out.

Got a funny story, well not a funny story as I'm reall p**sed off about it. I Had to take my car back off my guy I had the car with, with the work not being done.
I got a call of a friend who said they seen my car fly by them on the way to cork city when it was in the garage for 2 days.
So I rang him to say I got I phone car and said what they said to me and he took serious offence to me asking about my car. They told me to meet them at the garage and get my car out of there in 20 minutes otherwise they'll ring the guards and I can collect the car at the station. I said I wasn't accusing them of anything and they would do the same if they got that call but they weren't having any of it so had to collect it. To be honest the car was in the same place, not moved and the engine cold, but that was a reeeeeeeeal over reaction. Don't you guys think?
So I'm in the same boat looking for someone again.

You should have phoned and asked the guy whether it was still there as you were worried that it may have been stolen from their yard - can't argue with a guy for being worried like this if someone said they saw it whizzing by.

Thas what I did say kace and I was nice about it as well even when I had to collect the car from him. I thought he might have clamed down when I got there and explained it to him again but he wasn't having any of it and now I can't get anyone to blend in the lip on my bumper without charging made money and if I do get a good price their not blending it on properly so if you get a know stress lines will just show up.

that guy didn't really want the job..
..if he really wanted the job your concern (or accusation in his eyes) would've been like water off a ducks ar$e...

He doesn't sound all that nice anyways - I've had some experience with not nice garage owners...trust me you're better off.

Imagine he'd done the job and you weren't happy... what then? If he reacts like this to a phone call what way would he react to a complaint?

Yep you hit the nail on the head Muad. He is constantly overflowing with work as he is very good but he was doing it for less than half the price as he knows a few lads I do, so I guess he wasn't arsed.

Anyway I might as well tell you guys what I got and was thinking of doing.
I bought an OE bumper and DC lip off UncleB and wanted the lip blended in or made flush with the new bumper and sprayed obviously.
In theory to this done Properly (i.e. put the lip on, take off a few cms of the top of the lip, worked on with resin and fibre glass sheeting and then worked down to make it flush which should cost €350-400 including spray by a Good panel beater.

I rang 27 panel beaters around cork and they all said to bring it in and they'll gave a look so I got around to 11 so far. Most say they could do it for the 200-250 Mark but their not doing it properly and the rest just won't do it.

So my options are:
1. Hold out and pay nearly €450 when I eventually get someone to do it if I find one
2. Try it myself and get them to spray it but I might feck it up
3. Just get it put in and spray it even though the lip seem will be visible and not flush €150-200
4. Chuck it in the bin and forget these 3 weeks.

Any suggestions?

I also have a bozz front bumper which is damaged and might be able to get another one with slight damage but nothing serious, but they Woun't match my flush dc side skirts 8) (thanks for that shane)
