Chaps - what are we thinking in terms of start time and I wonder low long it would take to get through the full group - I am thinking just over 2 hours or so all in.

I may not be able to get out of the pale until late morning or noon. Would this be too late for others - is everyone expecting an early start or would late morning suit ?

Yup, 10am. It's on the first page of this thread in the reply I got from them.
I'd take a guess at half an hour per car (but it's only a guess) so I'd imagine that once there are a few of us there at 10 it'd be fine to come a little later Kace.

I think you're all mentalists tbh.

I wouldn't risk a rolling road on my car, I've seen too many engines go poppy bang.

Seen or heard of Larua?
Are these standard engines like we're running or tuned ones?
Westward never had an engine go pop on a rolling roads day from what they've said but if you don't feel the car is up to it then of course it's safer not to stress it.
On another note, if on the day they don't feel your car should be tested they could refuse.

I've been at a few of these and have put my car through. To be honest the way they are driven on the rolling road would not be anywhere near as hard as normal spirited driving. I have certainly driven my Mivec much much harder than it ever received on the road - and that's not crazy driving either - just getting some nice acceleration out of 2nd and 3rd up to 8k RPM - nothing difficult for the engine at all.

I'm lookin forward to getting it done. Curious about the numbers.

Are there other plans for the day? I'm assuming it's not an over night meet is it?

It's hard to say Seb, I hope so but with any luck there should be another name or two in the next couple of days
They want a list of names in advance so I'd like to get that to them sooner rather than later.

Hey guys I'm afraid I'm going to have to pull out :(

On Saturday I noticed that something is loose in the front wheel mounts or there abouts. When I was reversing out of my drive way and applied the brakes I could hear and feel something moving a bit when the pads engage the discs.

I rang Paul Nolan but he can't take a look until next week. Hopefully it's just a loose bolt but I wouldn't feel confident putting her on a rolling road with this issue. Westward might say no anyway.

I was really looking forward to this too :(

Would you not get her looked at by another mechanic. If it's something very simple, it should be an easy and cheap fix.

+1 - Paul himself says that the FTO is a very straightforward car to work on. For something simple I would go somewhere easier / more local to you.

I would agree also, brakes and discs are not complex at all

Says the burd who regularly rags her FTO around Mondello. :P
No way would a rolling road be anything like as harsh on your FTO as a couple of laps around Mondello.
