[SOLD] Laptop screen died

the yoke turns on but the screen remains black ..
damn lappies


anyone had similar problems? is it the converter?

Unplug the power, remove the battery and then hold the power button for 30 to 60 seconds. Then reattach the power and attempt a boot. Sometimes this works, worth a go..!

You replaced the screen and it doesn't work or you're getting no signal from the video out?

pluged in the desktop monitor .. not working .

so it's not the laptop;s screen that's gone ..

took it today to PC world , they charge 70 eur for a diagnosis . ermm No thanks

It's prolly he graphics module seb if the machine appear otherwise functional...

When you plugged the external monitor in, did you tell the laptop to use it instead of its own? On my Sony Vaio its Fn+F7, yours might be different. :)

There's blue writing on some of the buttons...

one of the icons is @a vertical line square and another vertical line + a square" representing the monitor next to the screen of the laptop..
Hold the FN key and Press the key as above...

If this works you can use your laptop.

Update :

looks like it's the mother board and would cost more to fix than what I paid for the laptop . sweet sweet Ireland . :roll:

Sadly that's the norm .. if you need some data recovered from the HD and dont know how pop out and we'll stick it on a few dvds for you.
