Clifford alarm fitted

Postby gt94 » Thu Apr 19, 2012 10:28 pm

Was up in the big smoke today with MDS, got a Clifford G5 650 mark 2 fitted with blackjaxx. Must say Brendan and Stephan very friendly and knowledgeable. Lovely tidy installation would highly recommend them :ll
Only downside is the wait 4 1/2 hrs but if you want it done right time is everything.

got same alarm fitted about 3 or 4 years ago, 600euro. Took 4 hours yeah. Still, never given me a days bother.
Has the price come down or gone up in these recession era times?

I paid over a grand for a G650 with Blackjax, remote start and turbo timer feature a few years back (RX-7), prices have certainly come down since then it seems.

yeah it was 600 with all the bells and whistles except the remote start, i might get that installed for the wintertime would be very handy. Very pleased with it you hear of people sayin that its annoying putting in the code everytime the door opens and stuff, i dont mind in the slighiest.

I was thinking about getting the remote start viper alarm installed with the 2way receiver for €425. Anyone know about that system? It's here http://cars.donedeal.ie/donedeal/classi ... 37&s3=true

Goz seriously... Save yourself nearly €500 and just go put and put the key in to start it.
I think personally think its a waste to spend that much on it unless your gong to strip it out and install it on every other car you get in the future.

With what I have spent so far, and with what I will soon be spending, I want a proper alarm installed. The current alarm is not great, considering I can open the boot and slam it closed without the alarm triggering. In a couple of weeks, I will be dropping her in to get work done to the tune of €1500. I need a good alarm

On those cold winter nights/mornings, I have wished for remote start to heat the car up and also the engine and also to clear icy windows. I have to admit its the main attraction, but I'm really just after an alarm that I can rely on. After that, it's the electric bollard in the drive. I've had one car stolen and I was gutted because like my gpx, my 318 was not the standard model most people had.
