110cc quad

i bought my son one for his birthday.it was running fine. now it has stoped.iv replaced cdi the reg and engine loom. but i think i made it worse,cant find ant wiring diagrams to match it,and all my mechanics have no idea about little bikes like this. it has us all ?????????? just a wild shot,any of u guys ever have this and can help.

I'd bring it to a lawnmower shop.

Presume you've changed the plug, Chinese ones wouldn't be great.
Is it getting spark?
I'd be looking at the kill switch, test it and make sure it is working.
Also check any wiring to lights, brake light etc for shorting

I'd only know my way round garden machinery, but once you've clean fuel, a new filter and plug, its likely to be electrical which can't be that complex.

the prblem is its not getting the impulse out of the cdi to the coil.and we cant figure out the wiring.if what get ign-live.earth all that.iv sorted out a cdi and reg already trying to figure it out.

ill read through that thanks. but the cdi getting the pulse from the engine but its not coming out of the cdi to the coil.i think it a wiring problem or live feed issue. :smt120

think it was starter button,was sorting and sending earth to the starter sol instead of live.but we not sure.tested all wiring .it seems all right now.she's like a new quad now with all the parts and new wiring..lol

yep chinese joke is right. i got it for €350 from donedeal. its a 2009 elec start 110cc. in very good nic.

no its the kids bike, now tbh i have driven it,its can go even with me on it.but when you try turn at speed the height of me and the length of the rear axle does not suit. i had a scary moment.. :roll:

no not fixed stoped again. :( check wiring again.think i should have two pulse wires from crank pulse coil to dci but i onlyu have 1.think i need new crank pulse coil.

yep .im missing the main timing pulse from the crank to the cdi.no broken wire.so going to try the pulse coil.ordered it today. :smt021

check that your coil has a good connection to earth.

earth at coil was loose,but not the prob getiing no live to the coil for some reason.

go over all connections working your way backwards from the coil.
im assuming youre working with a multimeter and not just a live indicator type thing?

triple check fuses and bulbs as well,


i remember having a moped that would not run without a connection through the rear light.

gave up sent it to motor bike shop. he had it fixed within an hour. :oops: he changed the wiring to the ign swith being only earth switch.i dont understand how or why,but it works. :nwor
