Mitsubishi Galants

Postby David » Thu May 13, 2010 6:35 pm

HI,

Just wondering if anybody here would have experience with or know anything about the Mitsubishi Galant? I need a car for about 1k euros and obviously the FTO doesnt fall into this category :(

But there is a lovely 00 Galant for sale in Limerick on donedeal. Two years NCT and taxed for the rest of 2010 for 1300 euro...
Dont suppose there is anybody on here from that direction that could check it out for me??

V cheap considering it has a years tax and nct until 2012. Almost too cheap.

If its an auto, check the main gearbox seal for leaks, its a 'box out job to fix. Otherwise, Galants are a great all-rounder - reliable, generally cheap to fix etc. That one does look suspiciously cheap though....

pm'd u there a list .
Sure it's not how much is a car it's what you buy for the money . personally i'd spend more on a good and well maintained car then a cheap banger without any history .

on-topic: galant's are very cool , you'll be bored very quickly from that 2 l engine though

No reply from the previous seller so can only assume it's sold. However, this one came up which looks just as good...http://cars.donedeal.ie/for-sale/cars/1318162

The seller informed me that the belt is due and he got a price of 175 euro to supply and fit belt, which seems almost obsurdly cheap...could that be accurate?
