Each to his own and all that in the democracy here, but if you take a look at the ftooc site you'll see what I mean - things are waaay out of hand on there with the things.

My only problem would have been if it made the page slower to load, but its generally pretty quick, so I've no probs with them myself.

I'm stuck in the middle on this one, I have broadband so its not a big issue for me, in saying that, I can appreciate that it does take longer for the page to load when you're on dialup.

I think your wavin one was the exception rather than the rule. A welcome tongue in cheek addition to the site :) I'm not a big fan of these large footers myself.

Agreed the FTOOC site is over run with them, a bit too OTT for me.
I also dislike the whole aftermarket parts descriptions on persoanl footers: such & such, plugs, exhaust, stereo, induction kit, shocks, etc, etc. Are they trying to sell the car on every post, or what?

Removed mine, Can't say I have every noticed how bad it is on the ftooc before, but I guess it must be frustrationg for people not on broadband

Don't really mind - When particular posters are talking about their cars its nice to have an idea of the car they are referring to such as PR's car - Quite like the humorous ones as well - wavin inc - shame to loose this element of the forum while I understand peoples point of overblown needless graphics of the shopping list that has gone into the car.

the odd few are a bit over the top, often you cant see the hills from the trees with these,

also ive bloody dial up, and it can be a pain in the ar$e at times
