Was a nightmare to insure my FTO 2.0 Mivec I bought it without getting insurance quote first. Ive alwasy wanted an FTO so it was really an impuulse buy lol

So I bought the car then decided to try and insure it. Bare in mind im 32 years old I have 3 points and 5 years no claims

i was ringing round all day and going on price comparrision websites getting quotes for like £1500, £2000, £2500 for TPFT most people wont touch it as its a japanese import but I finally got through to Adrian Flux and got a really good deal I advise anyone in the same situation to do the same :)

As far as I know Adrian Flux don't operate in Ireland.
We could really do with some more competition here...

Like you, i bought my fto before i got insurance quote.
Bought it on a friday and it was friday night before i got a chanc to start looking for insurance. Hillarity ensues for my family members as they watch me slowly pulling out more hair as each online insurance company refuse to quote.
Saturday i discover fto-ireland.com and then see the insurance thread, proper heartattack as i read about people my age paying €3000+
Sunday i resign myself to selling the car when i get the log book.
Monday i chance my arm with my current insurance company as they cant refuse and wham bam thank you mam, €7 is all it cost me for the remainder of the year.

The lesson i learnt.
To never drink again and we didnt.
