Help keep fto-ireland.com up and running!

Postby CJ » Fri Feb 11, 2005 9:21 pm

Its come around to that time of the year whereby hosting charges and domain renewal have come around again for fto-ireland.com. Over the past 2 years, I've been happy to foot the bill in that regard, bantering with you guys about somthing that I'm madly enthusiastic about has been a pleasure :) If this you feel you have benefited from this site in any great way, what I would like to suggest is that you consider donating a small sum to help with the running costs of the site. This is explicitly optional and I don't want to put pressure on anyone, however, any donations, no matter how small, would be warmly welcomed. If you have a Paypal account, you can donate to cjay@eircom.net , alternatively, PM me if you would like to donate using another method.

Thanks in advance

CJ

What are the costs involved. I would be willing to help out, how about we get a list of willing owners and split it evenly.

Absolutely,
I'd go along with Rory's Idea, so count me in as well. This forum has saved me a fortune and while I don't post a lot ('cuase I don't have the tech. knowledge that you guys have  ) I check it out every day and know that it's there If I need a steer in the right direction.

Not a bad idea Rory, I'll verify pricing and post it up details.

EDIT: Total costs are €207, so say €200 for arguments sake.

A tenner from 20 people perhaps?

Hi,

I will paypal you a tenner too. I have a site for my second hobby, jetskiing at http://www.PWCIreland.com and I foot all that myself, hosting etc.

You are dead right about trying to get members to throw a few quid in I think. Mond you I have let that site go to ruin a bit lately and so the message board software etc etc is a bit outdated.

10 yoyos sent. In the future though, I can do the hosting, already have a hosting package that gets little or no use and I'm paying for that anyway.
