Thanks Bernard - good vid.
The guy did two runs - on the first he only went to where the redline indicator starts to flash (387bhp) and on the second run he went to the redline (398bhp). Well impressed with the 354Ib/ft of torque though - the fueling looked perfect and power delivery was very linear.

I had a great day! Weather was unreal!! Thought the 1/4mile was good!! Few mishaps and that but that's to be expected!!! My mate in the dc2 had some savage times and ended up winning his class! His best time was in the 13's!! 13.8ish! 0-60 in 4.something!!! Some car and some driver!!!
Car of the show and shine for me was ians r34 gtr!!! Cleanest car I've ever seen!!!

Thanks Bernard - Pity grip was so poor off the line for me. All that power and no way to get it onto the tarmac.
My last Zed with 100bhp less had a faster 0-60 (5.1sec) on that surface. Not too disimilar 1/4 mile times either.
It really needs a better surface, a better LSD and some track day tyres (like the majority of guys with quick times were running). On the road theres no comparison between the last NA Zed and the supercharged one so its all about getting the power down. I had massive wheelspin at low revs in 1st and 2nd and even had to be carefull in 3rd gear.
The next time I run a 1/4 mile it will be on lightweight 18's with R888's and a Kaaz diff. In the meantime I'm putting a set of new F1 GSD3's on the Zed today.

Your mate in the Teg (gas man I have to say) had his car stripped to 800kgs - was running Toyo R888s track day tyres, had an uprated clutch and flywheel, a close ratio gearbox and a 100 shot of NOS (which he said he had - don't know how if just running standard internals so he may not be running standard internals) plus various breathing and engine mods. The tyres alone were probably worth the best part of a 1 sec to him on the 1/4 mile run. He certainly tries to dumb-down his Teg (fair play) but its fair to say that this car is a combination of VERY light weight (excellent power to weight ratio) and optimised LSD, Clutch, flywheel, soft compound R888's and a close ratio box with reduced final drive.

However to say that this is a typical NA Teg would be overstretching a "tad". If you made the same mods to a GPX manual you'd have a car capable of running in the high 13's as well.

never said it was a standard teg... he's never told me whats done to it! he wasnt using Nos on sun! he said car wasnt running right with it (maybe due to standard internals).... he always drives on Toyo 888's.... his car might be stripped out but again thats how it always is! and despite all that his car is still fwd with no traction control!! Im sure ul admit his gear changes are second to none.... i dont think ive ever seen anyone change that fast.... consistently!

have to say the noise off ur car on the track sounded amazing..... as did it on the rollers!!! (nice figures btw!)

Is that TC doing a 15 run?

Yup, impressive 0-60 of 6.42 too.
A record if I'm not mistaken?

Cant remember my times to be honest..it's been that long. I thought shane was in the low 14s back in the day though..I could be wrong..Myfeckin' feel free to correct.. In any case looked like decent clean runs - and definately consistent!
