Just a small change, given the ... Irishness.. of the weather, I'm gonna suggest we meet at Dunnes at Jetland instead (pic below showing location relative to the Tesco). It has an covered car park, plus it'll allow the group from Dublin a break and there's a coffee shop etc., there too. I have all the numbers of those attending, so will drop you a quick message too. Safe journey and will talk to you all soon.

Thanks to Topcat for organising this one. No surfing done on this occassion. Probably just as well or we could easy be a man down by now -the sea was fairly choppy on saturday. The weather was brutal on saturday so photo opportunities were fairly limited. The hotel was an interesting experience of yester year :)
Good weekend despite the weather. Thanks to all for attending

Thanks to all who attended. Weather was against us (even today I one stage I aqua-planed (sp?) on the dual carriageway :( ), but even with that, the scenery is stunning along the coast. Thanks to Mustang for the leading the way, not an easy job on some of them roads. There was of course a old farmer herding cattle too, but it wouldn't be an FTO-Ireland meet without it. :D
The hotel was a very, am.. quirky place. I was half expecting them to put all the men on one floor and women in another. Certainly couldn't say they got carried away with renovations during the celtic tiger era, or any other era for that matter. :) Kinda nice though and reminded everyone what their parents house was like.
A few nice pints of guinness were had, and a few bottles of corona that lasted amazingly well into the night. Poor Martin lost his spike, but other than that it was all good.
Hope you all get home safe.
Pics to follow.

Well what can I say, what a weekend, head's a bit iffy today :)

After Ross relied a bit too much on sat nav and we drove through the burren with only grass in the middle of the road to lead the way, we finally arrived in Lahinch. The B&B was erm, special. The Virgin Mary greeted us on the way in. 'Nuff said.

Had a HOOOOUGE dinner in danny macs (just as well says you) and off to some pub were all of us old fogies complained about how drunk/young/inadequately dressed all the 16yo's were...

All roads led to my room after, where the ipod went on and a 6 pack of corona went a long way. We were promptly evicted to the tv room by the owner... more fun ensued where at 4am we called it a night and I scored a Russian girl who shared my bed with me - high tech, secret hair dryer camera footage available from Tom

Drive home was a bit mental, I looked as Tom aquaplaned and I chuckled quietly safe in the knowledge that my f1's were doing their job. Ah, only kidding. :P

May I say Tom, you have a HUGE... aerial. Seriously like.

Yes, I have an irrational fear of piers.

Thanks to all that came, Tom for the organisation, and Berno, the legend, who came down even though his cow of a manager had him work the weekend so she could be there instead :D

Just for the record myself and Colm were not complaining about the attire of the young ones in the pub :smt007

I feel a caption competition coming on. I'll go first.
Whose getting the last bottle of Corona? Let's do paper rock scissors to decide.

Well lads and lassies, twas a rainy day, but a nice drive through nice twisty roads, and finished off with a lovely steak and a few nice pints afterwards, must say the pub we went to with the one tap in the bar was the story of legends.
Thanks to Tom for the organising, Mustang for the leading, and must thank herself too for putting my name down, that was a nice surprise!
Its my last meet for a long long time all going according to plan, and I'll certainly miss the sight of a convoy of FTO's, the looks we get, being stuck behind cattle, and the craic thats had on the meets and the nights away.
Hopefully I'll be joining a meet again in a few years when I get back, or in a year or whatever it takes, as the FTO will be waiting for me in storage, but until then its been great going to all the meets and thanks to everyone involved in them.
Pics to be uploaded later, not many I'm afraid, but got loads of some birds of prey at the Ailwee Caves centre, worth going to for anyone looking for a nice thing to do for a while, especially when they let them out to fly.

Okay, maybe not you Ross, :D but I remember Colm saying he just wanted to wrap one of the girls up in a coat or something to that effect. A good feed for some of them wouldn't go astray either.

To reply to your comment CJ, I think I left my head behind.

I think it was more to do with me clearing the water for you, its just how much of a gentleman I am.

Oh, and those photos you were taking of the lads crotches, not a good thing to stumble across hungover on Sunday. :smt078

There are other photos from later on in the night, but I won't put them on the public forum to protect the innocent *cough*

Oh I'm awfully sorry, I wasn't taking pictures of crotches, it was of the most distinctive thing on you which for you and colm, happened to be your shirt logos lying on top of your crotches. LMAO though!! :D

Oh and Colm, I think those incriminating photos may have been of russian girl and I and possibly Bernard and I but we'll leave it at that :D

Colm has a pink ipod.
