New SQUEEK

Postby belfastman » Fri May 27, 2011 8:02 pm

I left the mot centre a few weeks back,(car failed) but thats not my point. The point is after the inspection i noticed a loud squeek coming from my front nearside,it was not there before the test only after it came off the car ramp. I cannot fiqure out what the noise is,its very annoying.Every bump i hit or even yards i drive the fooking noise is there.Would it be springs?I HAVE changed for new, balljoint, and drop links which i had to do anyways....Its also strange when the road surface is wet its not noisy. any ideas? :nwor

i really have had that noise and i cant for the life of me remember how i cured it. maybe something stoopid like the rubber mount for the bonnet or the ARB bushes. go round all the bushes next dry day and take her a few short runs spraying wd40 at diff bushes each time, at some stage the squeek will stop then you will have found the problem

Had a problem like this couple of years back. Mine noise was coming from front passengerside.
Turned out to be the rear bush that holds the front left wishbone in place

No chance of killing it with dollops of copper grease?

They are front wheel. The bush is located on the rear of the front wishbone.
