Congrats. I believe the pic in this thread is the car in question pre-import 5 years ago.

Congrats. I really like hearing about someone wanting a particular car (or anything for that matter), and finally getting it. Well wear, really hope you enjoy it.

(Although, compared to some people here (*cough* Bernard *cough*), it didn't take you too long to find the one you wanted) :)

A little four year gap between signing up and buying is nothing Tom, I'm just cautious.

Any more up to to date pics Dan? I reckon you got a great car at a great price, FTOs really do represent tremendous value for money these days. I saw a post from Gerry recently about how he bought back his old car with a view to putting it into storage with classic tax / insurance in mind down the road. If I had a garage, I'd be in there like a shot. Give it 10 years and FTO's will be a much rarer sight on the roads - the upside is that they'll have significantly more appeal.

I've a rear strut brace there I would of sold for €40. You should always ask here before you buy. You might find a bargain.

At least use the "."

Some of the lads really hate text speak and lack of punctuation.

Thanks Dan - old people like me have an awful time trying to understand the colloquialisms of the younger generation.

Youll have to change your avatar now. What can I say? Nice lookin FTO. Would be rushing to get the headlights polished and a back plate for the clocks. Are the bumpers a different color? They look champagne.

More importantly, are you havin fun yet?

40 per light! That's daylight robbery. My brother threw the guys an extra €20 for sorting out the lights on the the gr. no way would i pay 80. And I'm loose with money.

50 would be the max I would pay for a job like that.

Hey all so after reading garry comment about price i rang the guy in the shop to collect car and he said yes car finished great. I get there and play the dumb card and hand him 40euro he says no its 80 I say I tought you said 40 anyway long story short got them done for 50 in the end :D . But really goes to show how people will take you to the cleaners every chance so thanks again garry i would have just handed over 80euro :D :smt023
