Coolant leak...(sorted)

Postby ultrakupra » Mon Apr 25, 2011 12:34 pm

Hi,
So about two weeks ago i checked out the coolant level and the 'bottle'(tank?) was almost empty.I bought coolant and added it to full level.
Today i was checking the engine oil level and all liquid levels and i realized that the coolant bottle was empty again,so i think its leaking somewhere.
Anyone had this problem before? where can be like the most common place for a leak on a FTO GR?
I looked everywhere so i can see where is leaking but no signals...looked under the car and no leaking also...
Any help will be appreciated.
Cheers.

Can be possible that i made a hole on that pipes by rubbing it with the tyres and that caused the leak? im a car noob,so i dont know... :(

Took the car today to a mitsubishi dealer...the hoses connecting to the radiatior are leaking, and the one connected to the transmission was leaking too...also the service pit guy told me to change the thermostat for precaution...17000 yens(160 euro) parts included.
Ill let this time them to rip off my money lol At least its not a head gasket leak or a broken radiator... :|

I would have thought in Japan it would be a lot cheaper to steer clear of the main dealer, given that the FTO was only for the Japanese market. I am sure most Japan mechanics have worked on one at some stage. Still 160 euro not that expensive
