Booked into the B+B today, seems the locals are in high antisapation of the meet. I was asked am I part of the rally. Didnt realise we were a rally.
By the way, they only seemed to have a family room left, so if one other person is looking for a room and cant get one there'll be a spare bed in the one I booked. They charge E40 per person.

Ya I knew damn well some smart ar$e would come along with that one! :)
Obviously, only if the other hotels are booked out, and theres no where else to go, within a 2 mile radius, then, in that case, theres a spare bed.

DH - I think Bernard was just using a strange brand of humour to point out the similarity of your post to the A-team mantra. Its probably a bit too leftfield for most but a weirdo like me would get a laugh off it.

This was the agenda we're going with I think -

Mustang wrote:Here's a suggestion.
Meet at Klyemore karting (Naas Rd. Dublin) mid morning early afternoon.
Tyre kicking.
Karting session €50 per head for GP.
Listen to excuses from runners up about, slow karts, bad petrol, poor brakes, unfair marshalls, and other stories that might be true.
Followed by a road trip around the corner to McDonalds drive thru (keeping with the motoring theme).
After lunch and light refreshments, head up the wicklowmountains and take in some of the scenery. Overnight (optional) in some small quaint village, Roundwood perhaps. Anyone know the area?

CJ, could you update the first post, make it easier to find the plan?

Why of course kev. First post updated, listed below for posterity

Updated Plan

Meet at Kylemore Karting @ 11am on Satuday the 23rd of Feb, note karting is @ 11.30am - don't be late if you're participating!

Image

Karting will finish up @ approx 1pm, at the point, we'll get a quick bite to eat and head off towards Wicklow (route to be finalised) for a drive to include stop off points for pics etc.

Final destination will be the The Woodenbridge Hotelnear Avoca.

See you all on Saturday!

I'm sure we'll still be around the Karting at 1300-1400. If you still can't make it at that time then just give me a call on 087 2737794 and I can let you know where we are at that stage.

Just a note for all members not listed as attending - ye are more than welcome to join up with the meet at any stage of the Saturday - be it for the karting, the drive to Wicklow, the evening dinner or the Sunday drive back.

Just give me a buzz on 087 2737794 and I can direct you accordingly.

Remeber K= Karting, R=Roadtrip, O=Overnight If you have a guest with you and they are not participating in the karting please say so.
I want to get numbers as accurate as possible to advise Kylemore and also book a table for dinner on saturday evening.

As advised previously we do have flexibility on the numbers for the karting, but they would like to have approximate numbers in advance, so if you want to add your name to the list that is not a problem.
Looking forward to this one, hope the weather holds up.

Im there for the night. checked into the fower lodge b and b cross the road. the number is 0402 35301. i dunno if theres rooms left or what but one the other lads has a spare room i think. if not you can ask is there a second bed in chris' room if your stuck... No comments now lads please! As for the convoy, we haven't finalised the 'where and when' yet but we'll sort that later in the week. i'm guessing it'll be early cause 'Dragonheart' is down for the karting.
