House Prices in NZ

Postby Dragonheart » Tue Nov 10, 2009 9:47 pm

Passed this area te other day, thought I'd check up house prices for the craic, thinking a few million dollars, this just made me sick to think of what you would pay for this at home;

Thats about 350,000 euro to you or I. How many million euro in Ireland would that house and that view be?

Stunning isn't it?!
And the thing is that most of the year the sun is actually shining so it does actually look like that, not looking through a blanket of cloud and rain and seeing nothing. Absolutely ridiculous price!

Would love to get down there - my parents are down there for the Winter and have a small pad on Waiheke.

Booked for myself and the family to go down last year for a month but work cancelled me and I wound up losing €500 in flight deposits :x

Waiheke? As in the island? :shock: Very nice, nice area I'd imagine, haven't hit that area yet, furthest north I've been is Wellington.
Its def worth a trip here for a month or 2, I'd thoroughly recommend it, wages aren't great to be living here but things are so cheap you'd live like a king with a few thousand euro in you're back pocket coming over for a couple of months. I mean for the sunshine alone its incredible, you can actually plan to do stuff on the weekends cause its more than likely sunny, and if not then it may be a little windy but it'll be dry.

Yeah - it's an island with 8000 people - they said it's getting nice and warm now at 22 degrees.

It's pissing out of the heavens here anyway so hope that makes you feel good about your lack of wages 8)

Damn right it makes it feel better, its starting to hit the 20s every day here now, some days go to the high 20s but only briefly. Still though, not bad for the month of November!
