[Breaking] 95 Tip GPX A34

Postby Uncle B » Mon Aug 22, 2011 10:05 am

Hi guys,

I bought a Steel silver Tip GPX a while back to swap engine parts with my own car.
Unfortunately it seems everything I had was in good nick so it'll be travelling to Paul Nolans in the very near future.
I should be going to Dublin this Thursday to drop my car up but due to a family incident I may not be able to make it.

The car has ~80,000km on the clock but was imported into England in 2005 and then to Ireland in 2007 so some of that will be miles.
The mats, seats, engine bay etc. are in good shape so I'd take the mileage to be genuine

Everything is available bar the Version R style spoiler which is going to Parkwayhouse and the O.E Mats which are going to Kace.

The rear passenger light and quarter panel are cracked/damaged and the rear bumper is actually Symphonic Silver and has been sanded/filled but not repainted.
The front bumper was a HKS and in a bad way so I gave it to Stewy32. I'm in the process of declouding/descratching the headlights.

The centre console (ashtray surround) has a crack in the usual place and is painted silver. It also has 2 holes in it for the Clifford alarm LED and buttons
I intend to repair/repaint this when I get the chance.

I'll try get some photos up later but can't promise anything.

I'm not 100% sure what condition the liners are in as the front was a bit of a mess tbh, I'll have a look and let you know.

I'm looking for the part that surrounds the surround of the ashtray and gear shifter if it's not damaged. Its cracked on both my ftos.

And the part I am looking for is the surround of the surround; a part usually not painted, so this part may be fine and the part you think I was talking about is damaged. The part I want is the same material as the dash and not the part that immediately surrounds the ashtray.

However, Gerry who sold me the 94 FTO has this part intact on another car and is being kind enough to swap it for the cracked part. Now I only have to be careful not to completely destroy the part when I try to remove it. It breaks so easily and is not the easiest bit to remove.

Hey holio,
I'd be looking for around €250 but I want to verify its still running properly before I accept or decline any offers.
Hope that's cool.

Paul
