Another one down

Postby Dragonheart » Sun Apr 11, 2010 10:40 pm

Passed it on Saturday, thrilled as she was lying dormant for over 9 months, thought there would be at least a couple of things wrong but she flew through it. :D

Cheers lads, to say its a big relief would be an understatement! Especially with this new noise thing coming in soon enough, though I'd imagine that it would take a seriously loud note to hit 90Db, and the other thing is when will they actually have everyone trained up and equipment in places to handle the testing.

I'm in for my 6th NCT next week and currently going through the customary replacement of the CAT and Standard Airbox. Car is definitely a whole lot quieter with both of these back in situ.

Actually I'm thinking of not replacing the ITG filter after the NCT - it allows me to rev above 5500 rpm without scaring grannies, children and those of a nervous disposition !! 8)

Would the type of air filter used make that much of a difference to emissions?
I just passed with an ITG in place...
