speed camera on the m50 southbound

Postby roykeane » Sun Feb 05, 2006 9:36 pm

Guys/gals, on your way from the airport and before the toll I am delighted to announce that the speed camera is in full operation. In the next few days I expect on behalf of the Minister for Justice to receive a fine for speeding (believe it or not, just under 125 kmph). Are these things genuine or do they just flash their bulbs at you??? And if genuine do they automatically mean points? :?:

I pass it every day im very aware of it though and dont give it a second thought, i also pass it on the other side coming home from work and it flashes every couple of seconds at cars that may or may not be speeding i honestly doubt it works. Give it 3 months if you dont hear anything count yourself lucky lol

Keano, if you're talking about the camera at the northern end of the M50, I was flashed by that about a year and a half ago and saw nothing in the post, that said, it was well known at the time that the thing was rarely stocked with film. Thngs may have changed on that front so you never know! Let us know if you get the 'letter'.

That makes me feel a whole lot better. I won't be as paranoid about somebody trying to rob me through my letter box. Thanks folks :D

Was heading north on the M50 on Sunday morning and seen it flashing at someone coming the other way. Could have been you  Should this post go in the spotted section :?:

You might just be lucky, a friend of mine was flashed there but heard nothing.

Yea I think it's 21 days, and if you don't receive a registered letter (or if you don't sign for one  ) in that time you're good!
