Btw, I vote Charles Fort!! Looking forward to this one, tom, berno, you up for a convoy?

Convoy sounds good.
As for an overnighter, I don't see the need... sure it's only down the road :wink:

Apart from Seb, is anyone else from further afield up for a spin?

Sounds good folks, my only concern however is the roads out by Kinsale. They're ok but would be good to get onto a 'better' road for a bit?

I'll leave it up to you locals to plan the route from Cork out. Its not as if we'll be in a big hurry anyway, so the route doesn't have to really be direct.

Shaping up to be a good one!!! Tom your idea sounds perfect to me.

Yeah there is no need for overnighters, but if anyone I know is stuck I have a spare bed.

Sorry, just back from a few days off now, let me think about the route so and I'l post up asap.
Dont think its worth doing an overnighter seeing as we might leave that for another bigger meet or something along the way. But sure if people want to stay overnight then thats totally up to themselves.

For me I'm following the thread but waiting for the locatio nto be set up before saying anything.
I have to change my clutch, so if it's not far from Cobh it'll be ok, but too far I won't.

Anyway it'll just be for the afternoon, I have the christmas meal with the company on that day :)

Ok so, how does this sound;

Cork crew meet the Limerick crew at 11.30 as Tom suggested at the Silversprings Hotel in Montenotte on the north side of cork. If we meet there we can bypass the city by going out the tunnel road and along the dual carraigeway to the route. We can stop in a garage along the way for coffe or whatever. We go out the south link towards Bishopstown, and take the road to Kinsale via the Bandon road, not the usual road to Kinsale but its a better road I think. Takes about an hour to get to Kinsale. Charles Fort is literally about 3 mins from Kinsale at the top of the hill so we go there for photos, the usual craic. We go from Charles fort back through Kinsale out to Garretstown, should prob take about 20 mins or so. Stop off at the beach more pics etc. Can come back then maybe into Kinsale for lunch/dinner or somewhere else if anyone has any ideas.
Thoughts??

Kevin and Adam are unavailable, I've been onto all the locals dont worry! No stone unturned for this one. Lot of people that are interested in a local meet for munster, including some of the out of munster members, but that cant make this one cause of arrangements already made or something.

Just meet us at the Silversprings at 11.30. You cant miss it coming from Waterford, just come in the road in towards the city and the hotel is on your right, you have to take the slip road on the left and go over the fly over to get to the car park. Type it into googlemaps it should bring it up anyway.

Heres a tip for the tunnel, keep her in 4th gear and at the speed limit which is 80 through the tunnel, you'll really hear the sound echo off the walls then.
