CJ, is it too late to add +1 on mine or is the karting already booked for specific numbers?

We have complete flexibility on the karting numbers, the more the merrier.

Well I'm sure she'll have no problem talking to the other +1's either if she can get a word in edgeways!

I think its time we actually had a FTO widows club section on the website - Course they wouldn't be allowed access to the other sections or they'd find out that the money didn't get spent on the heating oil.

Rear end!

I left it too late to book the hotel..no rooms avail.. did anybody else end up in one of the b&bs?

***update***
Don't trust the website if you haven't booked yet..

There are still rooms in "the lodge" which is "just across the road" from the main building..meaning that it's still possible to fall into bed from the bar should one wish to do so.

Price is a little bit higher at 110 for a double - but I think it's worth it not having to worry about getting a taxi..

Further more the Hotel will have a 2nd restaurant available for selection on the 23rd when we're there..

Wooooo

What time do we have to check in by?
I'm just wondering if it'll clash with the karting...

I doubt it, you can check in any time after 12.30 I would say. We're in the process of putting together a route for a spin after fkarking (we should be on the road by 1.30pm), route suggestions welcome.

Girl said three pm was last checkin. I'm pretty sure they'd understand if we just ring them in case we're late.

Is it sad that i'm posting this from the pub?

What hotel puts a limit of what time you check-in? I would have thought 3pm was the earliest you can check-in.

Postby fatboyfat7 » Sun Feb 10, 2008 3:11 am

trying to follow all this meet talk here, just joined the site in the last few days. I've only got a bog standard GS, just wondering if im out of depth a bit here, ye all seem to know each other fairly well. I was thinking of heading up for night if work doesn't get in the way... Again, im new to how all this works so id appreciate any comments or advice!

Chris,
You would of course be very welcome to come along - I don't even have an FTO at the moment and I'm going. This isn't a car modifying site - its an FTO owners club - it doesn't matter whether your FTO is a bog standard GS or a highly modded GPX - its about the FTO and its owners.

You'll find us to be an agreeable bunch - many of us know each other through the meets - but you won't get to know us unless you go to the meets.

Seconded, the common factor is the car and not the people, this is a great opportunity for new owners to meet like minded individual and learn something in the process. The more, the merrier....

The lodge is just the new part of the hotel - there is now just one room left - so if you haven't booked you need to hurry.
