Wheel nut sizes?

Postby colm_mcm » Thu Jan 01, 2009 9:45 pm

Seb was saying his GR has 19mm studs. my GPX has 21's. Checked another GPX and they're 21, my GR tip has 19mm as well. is this generally the case, and does anyone know why?

You obviously need bigger nuts to drive a faster machine

Doesn't the GPX have slightly bigger brake discs on the front? Maybe longer bolts were put in to compensate for wider discs?

19mm nuts are FTO factory standard, 21mm are most often seen on aftermarket rims.
