unlocking my nokia n8

Postby paul2508 » Tue Feb 22, 2011 7:31 pm

hi peeps ,
im just wondering is there anyway of unlocking my nokia n8. i got it for christmas and cant use it because it is locked to the o2 network. im a meteor customer and have been for years and want to stay with them and obviously keep my number. i have been on the o2 website and it says i need to top up by at least 150 euro in order to submit an unlocking code form. but i dont really want to spend that if im not going to use the o2 number. has anyone got any solutions to what i can do or does anyone work in this field??? would be a bonus. brilliant phone to use and its a shame its just lying there unused.

cheers.

Paul.

on the o2 site they have a form you fill out. and they get back to you. see what happens. i know they will say no due to the lack of topping up.

02 will make things very hard for you but it is doable. There are two things you can do:

1. Google unlocking code N8
2. Pay €15-20 to get it done in one of those dodgy looking unlocking stores.

Both will void your warranty.
