I love FTOs, but if I was trading one in at work it'd be cheap, especially if I was selling out a car with margin in it, I wouldn't take that risk on a 94 car and I doubt they did.

No harm in chancing your arm.

(this isn't an attempt to somehow talk that FTO down, that car is one of my favourite FTOs - Just with it being for sale in a garage it opens up the possibility of getting it cheaper)

Thats a fact - It really is a buyers market. Theres incredible value to be had at the moment. 10-20K will get you 350Z, S2000, RX7 and RX8, Focus RS, Evo 8 etc - all with serious reductions in price from this time last year.

Its not actually the initial purchase price of the FTO that will put prospective buyers off - its the running costs. The best place to sell an FTO like this is on this forum where we would realise the value of the mods and maintenance that has gone into this FTO. I can't come up with a better alternative for anyone with a 4K budget looking for a performance coupe.

I'm not surprised it sold reasonably quickly, any petrolhead worth their salt would know that its been well looked after

Time will tell if the new owner turns up on the forum....

I thought you meant they added a fourth to their collection sorry. I seen the guy apparently. He was in there at the same time as me. He was tall, slim enough with brown curly/wavy/ shaggy hair.

It does sound like a certain chap on here who has had 3 FTO's (and a Punto) at this stage.

I bought it

Postby Aido C » Mon Feb 02, 2009 3:14 pm

I bought it. My name is Adrian.
It's such a lovely car. It was love at first sight when I seen it. I've been looking at FTOs the past 6 months or so on carzone and a couple of website.
It was some lad from Kerry that tipped me off on this one. He really knows his FTOs. I think he might be part of the club. I got that impression off him cos he seemed to know this car quite well.

Away the car is in good hands. She is gonna be well looked after

That was steeleroe he's the man to go to if you need any spare parts or stuff like that, you'll find him on here. I was the guy that had her out on a test drive. Was telling you about the front bumper being off a post 97 (facelift model as they're known). Well good luck with her. If I'd have got my insurance settlement I'd have bought her myself. It is lovely. How much did you get it for in the end? If you dont mind me asking that is

Welcome along Adrian - you have just landed yourself a super example of an FTO. Hope you can bring it along to some of the upcoming meets.
