insurance madness

bought an fto last week just the standerd 1.8 , of course its in my mothers name as im only20 , allianz said yes 3 times during the week at a quote of 1900 euros ,iv bin driving with them nearly 4 years as a named driver in a 1.4 almera and never had a claim then after buying the car i noticed that allianz got the reg wrong so i rang them to correct it now there sayn they wont insure me as a named driver , ne sugestions what i should do? or does ne 1 no an insurance company that will insure me as a named driver under my mother?

If they agreed to insure you to being with, they would need to have a good reason to refuse you afterwards. I would imagine that they're trying to crack down on the named driver thing, I know that Allianz insure FTOs as other owners on the forum do business with them. Give it a couple of days and give them another call, make sure your mother rings up rather than you.

finally got my insurance sorted out with allianz , got in touch with the insurance federation of ireland and they sorted everything with allianz 4me got a very good quote too,,
