Some new pics of my SC Zed

Postby Myfeckin FTO » Sun Jul 25, 2010 12:54 am

Just back from the bodyshop with a new Amuse (Shine copy) front bumper,CF overlay on roof and CF rear diffuser along with a few other bits and bobs (arch rolling, CF CAI, CF diffuser etc) - gone for a more "track" look than the Nismo V2 front spoiler & LMGT's I had on previously.

Lovely looking car Shane, really like the front in particular.

The attention to detail and quality of the finish really make it. Well wear!

Wish I could have made it down to Limerick to see it run this weekend.

The carbon roof looks brilliant on it I must say, the whole overall carbon feel really sets it off. While the car was waiting for the RR and for the 1/4 mile it got an awful lot of attention. Nice tasteful modding.

Zed is back in Couture Auto for the next week. New pulleys,2 belts and induction for the supercharger. New pads and discs for the brembos. Plus full service.

Its really about maintaining what I have at this stage. Theres really not a whole lot more I can do apart from building the engine and at the moment the power I have is plenty plus its an enjoyable and reliable everyday drive. If it gets more extreme its just going to become a track toy.

Thats the problem with modifying cars, once you start, thats the end of it!

Yep - you have to maintain a car like this - no point in penny pinching - its actually a false economy and you just wouldn't get the same level of enjoyment from the car.

Got the times back from the 1/4 mile at the weekend. I ran a 13.2 in the site battle with midnight club against several other sites including ADC, Ignition, Honda Haven and a few others. We had 3 high bhp EVO's, the SC Zed and an absolute rocket of a stripped out Pulsar GTI-R (low 12's all day). Won the site battle but it was nice to have had a quicker 1/4 mile time than 2 of the 3 high BHP Evos with an incredible 114mph terminal speed which would indicate that with better traction off the line (the sandy surface suited the 4WD's) I should be doing early to mid 12's.
