I remember being angry at the time If its going to break it will break on my terms!! not on some pothole...only kidding I would have far more respect for the FTO
I had the Mirage for 7 years of abuse and I just couldn't kill it.
Apart from the regular service, all I did was change the plugleads and thats only because it was starting to miss in damp weather!

Jack the car up as high as possible Both wheels off the ground. Support it with axle stands. Need two people now. Start the car put it in 1st. One guy rev the car and the other get under. You should notice a wobble in the shaft if it is bent. You may well notice something elser while you are under there.

Make sure it is supported well
