Fair play to the guy for taking the time to develop it - he'll certainly make his money back I was order no. 55 - at 200 a pop that's already turnover of 11k after only a couple of weeks - not bad for a small sideline/hobby.

wow that's impressive! Pretty neat install he's done as well - nothing looks obvious and out of place.

That size screen looks like it would be a nice fit to replace the ashtray in an FTO... I wonder if it's adaptable?

Well there is a data cable available for fto - and I remember reading somewhere that somebody had it hooked up and they could get all sorts of snazzy output.. (was it kevinod?) - I'm sure a more "permanent installation of a small PDA could be made to look nice..

I know Jim is looking at extending to other VAG makes - maybe he'd do the same for other manufacturers if he thought it was worth it's while.

Mine should arrive next Tuesday - I'll get some photos once fitted...

Put a vid up on youtube - it's pretty bad quality but gives you an idea.

I'll try get one while driving later today.

Thats class. Goes with the white dials too. Does it give accurate readings? Where does it connect into to get the data from?

It connects via the ECU's ODB port using a standard cable - it reads everything bar bhp from the ECU so should be accurate. The bhp is calculated from the mass air flow using the formula "<mass air flow>g/s * 0.8" - I think this is reasonable accurate as they tested it against some rolling road readings - not absolute by any means though.

I had 257 on the LiquidTT the other day which is pretty close to what I'd expect from a generic map.

Lovely cool night last night and after having the dv repositioned to take in cold air from the intercooler rather than warm air from the air intake I took the back roads home from Malahide - really enjoyed the drive and as a bonus I clocked a peak of 272bhp on the LiquidTT during a full on 1st, 2nd & 3rd gear run to 70mph.
